Funding the Vision
As Talus Lodge progresses through due diligence, the next phase of the project is already taking shape — how the lodge is funded, and how people can be part of it.
From the beginning, the intention has been clear:
This is not just a place to stay. It’s something to participate in.
A Different Approach to Funding
Traditional hospitality projects tend to follow a single path — raise capital, build, then open to the public.
Talus Lodge is evolving differently.
Through the early stages of this project, several funding pathways have been explored and refined to create something more aligned, more flexible, and more accessible.
The result is a dual-structure approach:
1. Founding Ownership (Equity)
A portion of the lodge will be offered through equity participation, allowing individuals to become part-owners of the asset.
This includes:
Exposure to a real alpine property in Hakuba
Participation in the operating business
Long-term alignment with the lodge’s performance and growth
This pathway is designed for those who want to be involved not just as guests — but as stakeholders.
2. Pre-Purchased Stays (Access)
Alongside ownership, there is a second, simpler way to be involved:
Pre-purchasing nights at Talus Lodge.
This offers:
Access to fixed early-stage pricing
Priority booking ahead of public release
A way to secure future stays in a high-demand destination
For many, this is the most direct way to be part of the lodge from the beginning — without taking on equity.
Why This Structure Exists
Hakuba is not a typical market.
It’s a globally recognised ski destination with:
Strong seasonal demand
Limited supply of quality accommodation
A high proportion of repeat international visitors
At the same time, opportunities to participate in alpine real estate — especially at this stage — are rare.
By combining ownership and access, Talus Lodge creates:
A pathway for long-term investors
A pathway for lifestyle-driven participants
A shared alignment around the success of the lodge
Where Things Stand Today
As of now:
The lodge is under contract
Due diligence is actively underway
Funding structures are being finalised and prepared for release
Nothing is being rushed.
The focus remains on building this properly — with the right people, the right structure, and the right foundations.
How to Get Involved
Over the coming weeks, we will begin opening access in stages.
This will include:
Details on founding ownership opportunities
Release of pre-purchased accommodation allocations
Early access for those who have been following the project from the start
Availability will be limited by design.
Looking Ahead
Talus Lodge is moving from concept…to contract…to structure…to participation.
Each step brings it closer to becoming something real — not just as a place, but as a shared project.
For those considering involvement, now is the time to start paying attention.
